Tom Sands Guitars
Tom Sands is an absolute wealth of information, outside of being a phenomenal builder and human. I reached out to him because of his fantastic Youtube channel and Tommy’s Tonewood video series, unfortunately for him he responded and I have never left him alone. Tom worked with Katie Spencer to design “Fay”, using the Dark Forest Cypress paired with Ancient Bog Oak producing the stunning instrument below. Not only has Tom become a huge supporter of the Dark Forest Cypress but someone I am lucky enough to call a dear friend. His constant support and urging has been a huge part of this entire endeavor. I couldn’t have done it without him. Here are Tom’s thoughts about the timber.
